He too is very interested in Hailsham and since he could drive he and Chrissie took Kathy, Ruth and Tomm y to find Ruth’s â€Å"possible.† Plot Summary The book opens up with Kathy H. in 30’s working as a â€Å"carer† in which she takes care of â€Å"donors† after they have given a donation. Due to her job as a carer, she reconnects with two of her former friends named Ruth and Tommy because it was their time to become donors and have their vital organs removed from their bodies because they were all clones and that was their purpose. Kathy takes the reader back to when she was a child at Hailsham and explained what life was like which included different guardians with different views of clones, for example Miss Lucy believed that the children should be informed of their futures while Miss Emily believed they should be treated like humans up until it’s time for their donations. Art was highly valued at Hailsham and was collected by Madame for her â€Å"gallery† to show that the clones still had souls. Akins Introduction Stanley Milgram wanted to do a study on the obedience to an authority figure, and the obedience is a situationist experiment that evidences what happened the real life (Badhwar, 2009). Milgram’s idea was the Holocaust situation and the Nazis who had the authority over European Jews, during World War II, when the Nazi killed thousands of people because they had power, as well as how lived Nazis enemies in the death camps. The point of the research was people behavior in the obedience situation, and Holocaust situation was more compliance behavior of the Jews. Milgram’s experiment had to use three participants’ one experimenter, teacher, and learner. Milgram wanted to make observations about if the obedience was a factor of the life or it was to the Nazis behavior and attitude. Milgram decided to post the experiment information in the newspaper, and he paid four dollars for one hour in the experiment. The teacher had to give some words to learn if the participant responded wrong he received electroshocks. To be specific, the researcher used a transmitter with 30 interrupted buttons with 15 volts to 450 volts. In other words, the research has to examine the capacity of the response of the participant and how is the resistance of an individual. Question: How Infection control/handwashing/ relates to NMC code? Answer: According to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct one must act to detect as well as reduce the risk to patients and clients. Decontamination of hands is a priority as a measure to intervene in the control of cross-infection (Osborne, 2014). There are three levels of hand hygiene which explain why it is a necessary step: Social: hands should be physically clean and microorganisms should be removed which have come in contact during social activities. Hygienic: it is for the destruction of the transient microorganisms. It also provides a residual effect when hygiene is essential. Surgical scrub: removal of microorganisms during the conduction of surgical procedures. When to wash hands When they are visibly dirty. Before a sterile or aseptic procedure in order to protect the patient from microorganisms which include their own from entering their body. When they feel sticky or soiled. After contact with patient in order to protect one from the germs in the patient surroundings. After risk of exposure of body fluid to prevent contamination by harmful germs from the patient and its surroundings (Sutcliffe, 2011).
